Extract from
the regulations of the BCUT:
Using the library
- a
reader card is necessary, thus permitting the loan and the access to materials
in the rooms of the Central Library
- each
reader has a special file containing the obligation to respect the patrimony and
the regulation of the Library “Eugen Todoran” that all readers have to know and
observe
- the
cards are not interchangeable. Not respecting this rule implies suspending the
reader’s card for one semester, after which a new card can be obtained , after a
sum of money has been paid (no matter the status of the reader)
- if
a stranger uses the card of a library member with his/her approval and damages
the funds of the BCUT, both the user and the owner of the card will be held
responsible
- if
the card is lost, the owner has to announce the loss in the press after which
he/she will require a duplicate at the evidence service of the BCUT.
Using the reading
rooms and affiliated libraries
- access
to the reading rooms is limited to members who have a reading room card and only
if there are free places in the reading room
- upon
entering, the reader presents the custodian the reading room card and the number
given to him/her at the BCUT wardrobe.
- Both
upon entering and upon leaving the reading rooms with free access to books, the
readers must let the custodian check their bags. In the affiliated libraries,
the readers are not allowed to enter the reading rooms with personal effects
which have to be left at the BCUT wardrobe.
- In
the reading rooms, readers can ask for any book of the BCUT collections. For
this, they will have to fill in a loan form that will be handed to the custodian
who, at his/her turn, will hand it to the book handler who will provide the book
as soon as possible
- Upon
leaving the room, readers must give all borrowed books back to the custodian
- Readers
must keep order and silence in the library as well as keep the rooms clean
- Smoking
is forbidden in the Central University Library
